  1. Okay I super loved this. Darrows pov and a training arc!?!! My favorite part but I also really liked the comic visual aspect too. Can’t wait to learn more!!

  2. This was absolutely fantastic. I loved the change of scenery of the quiet village compared to the noisy and boisterous city. We get to see a different side of Darrow and it’s incredibly refreshing. I cannot wait to see where this story is taken.

  3. I am seriously at a loss for words for how incredible this is. Thank you, Pierce, Joel, Carl, and all the other ringmasters who make this magic happen.

  4. Thanks Pierce! I’ve read all your books multiple times (well listened actually) and as soon as I saw this pop up I knew I had to get on the patreon and read the book of Lorn!

  6. Nothing like some yard work to impress an old man – it’s how I spend the best times with my dad! This was SUCH a fun read – Lorn interacting with the different Colors of his house is exactly how I imagined he’d be. Thanks for this exciting start to a gift of a project!

  7. Dammmnnnn Pierce ate and left no crumbs! Fantastic start, I’m already feeling my opinion of Lorn shift. And the extra lore drops of Mars’s various cities? Delightful. Can’t wait for next week!

  8. This is so awesome!! Thanks so much for your hard work to make this happen. Is there any way that the format could be updated so it’s possible to change the font size or zoom in and not scroll left to right? My bad eyes are struggling

  10. I am so excited about this!! I’ve always wondered exactly what went down that Lorn accepted him as his last student- so I’m interested in this back story as well as pleasantly pleased that this was the route he went for the next project in the RR Universe. Plus it has some pretty funny lil quips. I just wish there was a full screen format option for reading without having to scroll left to right/top to bottom to read the pages- has anyone found out if that’s an option?

  11. Chapter 1 was a wonderful read! I delayed starting it till today when i finally got the time to sit with it, and after two read throughs its safe to say I am incredibly excited to read the rest of this story! Truly cant wait to see where Pierce takes this, and love the fact that its from Darrow’s perspective! It will slot well between Red Rising and Golden Son upon further re-reads, making it even more exciting to me!

  12. After all we have been through since we lost Lorn it is beyond wonderful to get to sit with him again. And in his own garden. I love that it is the Red in Darrow that won Old Stoneside over! Perfection. Cannot wait for the next chapter.

  13. Amazing stuff!!! Geez, feels so good to be back in the action…especially in the early days of Darrow and getting more insight on the Lorn stuff. Also, a thingy that really bumped my reading experience is listening to some DND Calm Fantasy Music at the same time, it just gets so much more athmospheric!

  14. Genius work. Love the comic approach too. There are so many untold stories between RR and GS! I was actually sitting in sorrow that I could not go home and read any more and then remembered….NO! I have Book of Lorn! Absolutely would love an ePub version to zoom in as I have dyslexia and reading like this is virtually impossible. Thanks, team!

  15. I’m immediately going to reread Episode 1. What an epic start. I had high really expectations when this was announced and this went so ABOVE AND BEYOND in exceeding them. Not only, do I absolutely love the story that Pierce picked to expand on, but this whole periodical concept is quite possibly the coolest thing an author has done recently. The writing in this is so good. I have too many favorite quotes to pick. And Pierce Brown somehow still managed to find a way to weave Mustang in and make a cameo appearance…..BRAVO! Will be eagerly awaiting the next episode.

  16. I waited until the first Holiday of the season was past to begin reading. It was at the bottom of page 5 that I realized I had a huge smile on my face and I was absorbed once more in the best epic work of the modern world, and perhaps the old world as well. This is going to be the best holiday season in a long time.

  17. When will physical copies of book of Lorne release? I’m bummed because I didn’t realize what an “ashcan” was until now. Been a member since this started.
