I need Lorn’s duel from this to be revealed to the public. It was phenomenal. I can’t stand the side of the fandom that tries to call Lorn a fraud.
Yo, getting to see Lorn beat ass made my week
We finally get a Lorn fight? Hell all the yesses.
Im assuming this is also why the willow way isnt studied like when darrow has used it for 10 plus years. Lorn does most of his work in secret and where there are hardly and cameras to go over the footage. Insane to see Lorn take out 9 peerless.
As of Lightbringer, it has been studied but mostly due to Darrow. I imagine most of the people who get to learn first-hand either use the blade style or die by it. Before Darrow, Aja is the most famous of its students, yes?
That was worth every cent
I’m guess we understand why Lorn deserved the death he got, cuz basically what was hinted or implied is that the myth around him was a combination of his own actions and what the sovereigns curated. Which means he did many a dirty job that would make what was done onto him child’s play. I like how this both shatters and enhances his mythology by giving perspective from varying angles. It’s like we got see many overlapping layers upon layers of his character. Not to mention we also get to see the sheer scale of the web of Octavia as if you really think about all of the factors and consenting variables to get that man to be in the right place, you get a multifaceted conspiracy to kill one man and seemingly a obsidian, which adds to the propaganda aspect of this. The fact this occurred on mars adds legitimacy to Octavia later plays regarding the planet. This story is the perfect embodiment of plans within plans within plans when you really just think about all of the political variables and implications within the narrative.
Excellently stated
When will we be able to order a copy of this graphic novel? Does anyone know ?
We’ll begin production on the collected edition after it’s done posting!
Each chapter is better than the last. So hyped to see why Lorn struck terror in the hearts of every peerless. But I think the best part for me is introducing what (I think?) is a new part of the Society’s constitutional structure – a Tribune! I should have assumed there would be a Tribunate. We have already been introduced to most (if not all) of the other offices of the Roman Republic. But I am so curious about the role of Tribune in the Society. It seems like they are representative of planets, but is there only one per planet? What about the moons? Do they have any veto power against the Senate? And apparently they are sacrosanct in the old way, but only within the pomerium of their respective planet? (lol welcome to Mars). Not surprised the office has been taken over by Golds, but was it always this way? Was there a Secessio? I need to nerd out about constitutional structures within the Society and the Republic. Hail Libertas! Hail PB!
